Some internet search engines including Bing and DuckDuckGo have recently provided the Canvas test server as the top result when searching for Canvas at Penn State. This has caused some Canvas users to access and use the test server instead of the production server at https://psu.instructure.com/ Grades, activity, and content on the Beta instance won’t transfer to the Production instance of Canvas and is removed every weekend. The beta server can be identified by the red banner at the bottom of every page with the text “Canvas Test Installation” and “This Canvas installation is only for testing and will reset every week”
If you believe that you may have used the test server please confirm any recent activity on https://psu.instructure.com/. If you detect any missing activity please reach out to your teacher/professor before Friday afternoon.
