Penn State will continue to only support the creation of quizzes (built from scratch) using Canvas’s New Quizzes tool. New Quizzes is the updated Canvas quiz engine which may eventually replace the existing Classic Quiz engine. The use of New Quizzes is not required at this time.
Please note, several features will not initially be supported, including the migration of Classic Quizzes to New Quizzes, surveys, and secure exams through Honorlock or the Pollock Testing Center.
Training: Creating New Quizzes
New Quizzes training sessions are available and will continue to be added. This is a 1.5 hour training session designed to teach you how to create and manage New Quizzes in your Canvas course, and provide you with an understanding of the new functionalities.
